The new Sunday School year begins on Rally Day, September 12. This year we will be celebrating this wonderful day with the entire congregation and a big church picnic after the 11:00 service. There will be games and activities, just like last year but the kids can enjoy them at the picnic instead of during Sunday School.
You will need to complete a new registration form if you are new or if your information has changed.

The next opportunity to become a member of Christ Lutheran Church will be New Member Classes on Thursday evenings beginning September 30. There will be three sessions beginning each week at 7:00 p.m. The classes are interactive and interesting, with plenty of opportunities to ask Pastor Dave questions. We’ll explore what Christians believe, what sets apart Lutheran Christians, and also the ministry at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Millersville.
If you have not taken the step of membership yet, now’s the time! Even if you’re not sure about membership, this course is an excellent way to find out more about our church, what we believe, and what becoming a member will mean for you so that you can make an informed decision. If you are a member and know someone who’s been thinking about joining, please encourage them to join us for this course.

“PARABLES”
Once upon a time . . .
Everyone loves a good story, and the parables Jesus told are some of the most well-known stories ever. But they are more than stories – each parable contains a wealth of meaning for our lives and for God’s kingdom.
Join us this falll as Pastor Dave leads this exploration of the stories Jesus told to teach his disciples – and us. We’ll
take a fresh look at familiar parables like The Good Samaritan and The Prodigal Son, and also study some of the less well-known stories Jesus told. This course is great for those new to Bible Study because these stories are so accessible, and is an opportunity for those with more experience to look at these parables in greater depth.
The first session is Wednesday, September 15 at 7:00 in Zick Fellowship Hall. We’ll meet until about 8:30, with a break about halfway through. Each class stands on its own, so join us even if you can’t make it every week!
