Summer Socials Our Summer Socials will be held each Sunday after the 10:00 service. This is a good time to meet and greet your fellow members and friends that attend the other service. Please see the sign-up sheet in the back of the sanctuary if you would like to volunteer to sponsor a Sunday and provide the refreshments. PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY
Knitters, Crocheters, (and those who would like to learn) - - - express
your love and caring by using your skills to make prayer shawls for
those in need of comfort and solace. Even if you don’t knit or
crochet you can contribute to this ministry by donating yarn or
funds to purchase yarn.

The Prayer Shawl Ministry meetings will be held on the first Saturday of each month at 2:00 p.m. in Friendship Hall. There will be no August meeting. This is a time for the sharing of ideas, helping each
other with the making of the shawls and teaching those who are interested how to knit
or crochet. Attendance is not required to make a shawl.

Gardening Committee

Remember that our gardens still need your attention. September is a perfect time for weeding, cutting back or removing dead or broken branches and planting spring blooming bulbs such as daffodils, tulips and hyacinths. This is also a wonderful time to plant any new perennials, shrubs or trees. All fertilizing should have stopped in preparation for the dormant season. If you are unable to continue taking are of your flowerbed or if anyone new is interesting in helping out, please let me know. Tara Fontz |
